Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails (6-8 oz each) Thawed completely if frozen
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted Unsalted controls sodium better
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh is best for flavor
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice Brightens the richness
  • ½ teaspoon paprika Adds color and subtle spice
  • Salt and pepper To taste

Equipment

  • 1 Kitchen shears For cutting shells
  • 1 Baking sheet For roasting
  • 1 Pastry brush For applying butter
  • 1 Small bowl For mixing butter

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F to ensure a quick sear that keeps the meat tender.
  2. Cut the top shell lengthwise with shears and pull the meat up to rest on top of the shell.
  3. Mix melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, and seasonings in a small bowl until well combined.
  4. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over the meat so it browns beautifully.
  5. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes until the meat turns opaque white and reaches 145°F.
  6. Serve immediately with extra lemon wedges for a fresh finish.

Notes

Use kitchen shears for the cleanest cuts along the shell; my mom taught me to remove them immediately when the meat feels firm like cooked chicken to prevent rubbery texture.
