Ingredients
  

  • 1 fresh pineapple, peeled and cut into wedges Choose a firm, yellow fruit
  • ½ cup brown sugar, packed Creates the caramel crust

Method
 

  1. Submerge wooden skewers in water for at least 2 hours before using.
  2. Slice the pineapple into even wedges or chunks.
  3. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a medium bowl.
  4. Toss the pineapple in the sugar mixture and let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. Thread the pineapple onto skewers and place on a preheated medium-high grill.
  6. Grill for 2½ to 3½ minutes per side until grill marks appear.
  7. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
