Equipment

  • 1 Espresso machine or Nespresso To pull blonde espresso shots
  • 1 Glass mug or cup Clear glass shows beautiful layers
  • 1 Milk frother (optional) For extra foam texture
  • 1 Small spoon For stirring honey syrup

Ingredients

  • 2 shots blonde espresso - Or regular espresso if blonde not available
  • 1 tablespoon honey syrup - Mix equal parts honey and warm water
  • ¾ cup oat milk - Use unsweetened for best flavor control
  • ½ cup ice cubes - For perfect iced latte temperature
  • 1 teaspoon turbinado sugar - For garnish, regular sugar works tooRetryT

Instructions

  • Pour honey syrup into a cup. Start with about 1-2 tablespoons of honey syrup in the bottom of your favorite mug. If you don't have honey syrup, just mix equal parts honey and warm water until smooth. This creates the sweet foundation for your homemade coffee drink.

  • Add Blonde Espresso. Pull a double shot of blonde espresso directly over the honey syrup. The hot espresso will help dissolve the honey perfectly and create beautiful layers. If you're using a Nespresso machine, the blonde roast gives you that smooth, less bitter flavor that pairs amazingly with oat milk.

  • Add oat milk and ice. Pour cold oat milk slowly into the cup, filling about three-quarters full. Add a handful of ice cubes for that perfect iced latte temperature. The contrast between the warm espresso and cold oat milk creates an incredible drinking experience.

  • Sprinkle sugar garnish on top. Finish with a light sprinkle of turbinado sugar on top for extra sweetness and that authentic cafe presentation. My kids love watching the sugar crystals catch the light, and honestly, it makes the whole drink feel more special.
