  • ½ cup butter For the graham cracker crust
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs Or about 14 full-sized crackers, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar For the crust
  • 8 ounces cream cheese Softened to room temperature
  • ½ cup butter Softened, for the cream cheese layer
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar Powdered sugar
  • teaspoon sea salt Just a pinch
  • 20 ounces crushed pineapple In juice, drained well (reserve liquid)
  • 4 large bananas Peeled and sliced
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip Thawed in refrigerator
  • 1 ½ cups peanuts Finely chopped
  • 12 maraschino cherries Rinsed and dried
  • hot fudge sauce For drizzling

  • 1 9x13 Baking dish For assembling the dessert
  • 1 small sauce pot For melting butter

Method
 

  1. Melt the butter and sugar in a pot before stirring in the graham crumbs, then press firmly into a 9x13 dish.

  2. Beat the softened cream cheese, butter, confectioners sugar, and salt together until completely fluffy and smooth.
  3. Spread the cream cheese over the crust, dip banana slices in reserved pineapple juice, and layer them over the filling.
