- Combine the warm dairy-free milk, ¼ cup sugar, and yeast in a bowl to bloom for 10 minutes.
- Mix the flour, remaining sugar, yogurt, vanilla, bloomed yeast, and vegan butter until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on high speed for 10-15 minutes, then let it proof in a warm area until doubled.
- Whisk the cream cheese filling ingredients together, and simmer the apple topping ingredients in a pan.
- Divide the proofed dough into 8 balls, press a crevice into the center of each, and add the fillings.
- Brush the edges with vegan egg wash and bake at 375F for 18-22 minutes until golden brown.
